Whether you build a Truffle Tower, pop them in boxes for favours or add them to your sweet table – Truffles are too good to pass up. a) because they are YUM! b) because they are YUM! and c) because they are YUMMY!!

This recipe makes 30 truffles so you can double, triple etc to make as many as you require. You can use either milk or dark chocolate.


* 250 grams chocolate, chopped.

* 50 grams butter, diced.

* 3/4 cup cream.

* Cocoa powder for dusting.

1. Place the chocolate, butter and cream in a saucepan and heat gently until the chocolate is just about melted. Alternatively this can be done in a microwave.

2. Stir until the chocolate has completely melted. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until firm.

3. Scoop even-sized teaspoonfuls of the mixture and roll quickly betewen your cocoa-dusted palms to make even-shaped balls. If wished, dust in additional cocoa powder. Store in a lidded airtight container in the fridge (away from meat & strong odours) until ready to serve.
