VINTAGE along with Marie Antoinette is one of my favourite wedding themes. There are so many possibilities and potential DIY opportunities to be had in this arena. You can really let your creativity shine. High Tea, gorgeous florals or old world regal – it all falls under the spectacular theme of Vintage. One country which I think leads the way in the vintage wedding is the UK….here are a few Vintage goodies coming from across the ditch to inspire your imagination. For the Bride looking to put a modern twist on the Vintage Theme check these out…

Hanging decorations from the trees in an outside -garden wedding gives the wedding such a cool look from the guest’s and photographers point of view. It also gives your guests some point of focus for conversation if they don’t know one another. These bird hearts are by The Wedding of My Dreams.

And of course – who wouldn’t want a pink throne to sit on!! Direct from Made with Love.

  1. Nice… Marie-Antoinette: this is cool! I wish we had the right type of venues in New Zealand to pull this off. This is even inspiring for a hen’s party/bridal shower :)

  2. Yes some of the Russian buildings would be ideal for this! What a great idea of hen’s night or bridal shower!! I think if one was to get highly creative it would be possible to transform a few of the venues on offer into something magical – The Boathouse on the Wellington Waterfront is a good example of a relatively blank canvas and some hotel ballroom’s could also be used to pull of a Marie Antoinette extravaganza. A good wedding planner too can work wonders! Watch this space for a Marie Antoinette post from the Kiwi Bride’s perspective :-)
