I went through a crucifix stage at one point in my life where I used to wear them like my teenage idol Madonna. I had a great collection but finally sold them all off in a garage sale for $5 a piece. Bargain. I held onto one I found on my travels to Jerusalem – it’s made of rosewood, smells heavenly and is a beautiful rose red colour.

Needless to say the fascination has not worn off and has actually just morphed into most areas of my life – hence my delight in Religious Kitsch, and this Divine Blog. So it’s no wonder these caught my eye because I find them so original and interesting and I like them. They sorta remind me of Mexico.

Makes me all nostalgic looking at these……..I had a lovely faux pearl one and this great black reflective crystal one too which looked great in the light. Ah well, you live and learn!

These are beautiful. What great craftmanship. They too remind me of Mexico – especially the first two – Colourful!

  2. So glad you at least kept that special one Fleur. Such a pity you sold them all though, as they are small items all with a personal history. Too late now of course so sorry if I make you feel bad… xx

  3. Now I just have a wonderful excuse to go out and BUY SOME MORE!!!!!!!!! Darn.
